Women's Lacrosse Travels to Buffalo State

On Wednesday the Express women's lacrosse team traveled to Buffalo State for an out-of-conference match-up.

This was the 3rd game of the year for the Express and they were still in search of their first win.

Buffalo state got up early on the Express scoring a goal in the first minute of play. This trend would continue for the first quarter where the visiting Express was down 8-0 after 1 quarter of play. The scoring slowed down for the host's Buffalo state in the second quarter where they only scored 4 goals. The Express got on the board themselves at the 7-minute mark with an unassisted goal by Clara Lima. At the half, the Express trailed 12-1.

In the second half, at the 13-minute mark, the Express scored again. This time it was an unassisted goal by Mackenzie Powers, her first of the season. Later, Clara Lima would score her second unassisted goal of the game to bring the total number of goals for the Express on the day to 3. Buffalo State would bury 7 more goals in the second half to put the final score in favor of Buffalo State, 19-3.
