Wells College women's basketball hosted the Gallaudet Bison Friday night when they started conference play in 2023. The Bison secured the road win by a score of 77-18.
The Bison got off to a hot start in this one extending a 29-6 lead by the end of the first quarter. The Express made a few lineup changes as they hoped to increase the offensive output but only added 5 points in the second quarter and found themselves down 40-11 at the break. The offensive struggles continued in the second half and the Express could not overcome the stifling Bison defense. Wells College fell at home in this conference match-up, 77-18.
Sydney Bateman leads the way in this one for Wells College with 9 points. April Washburn added 4 points and Mackenzie Kunkle added 3.
Women's basketball will be back in action tomorrow when they host St Mary's College of Maryland.
