The Wells College women's basketball team hosted visiting Keuka College on Saturday, Feb. 8. The Express played its best quarter in the second when just one score separated the two teams with the Wolves outscoring Wells by 15 points in the first half and 14 in the second.
Maritza Scharoun and Jordan Jacobs each scored nine points to lead the Express. Jacobs was strong under the boards with a team-high 14 boards and also led the team in steals with five. Scharoun finished second on the team in rebounds with seven, while Jacobs added a pair of assists and a block.
Rounding out the scoring for the Express with three points each were Lorissa Parks and Maeghan Westmiller, while Jennifer McCumber added a pair and Mackenzie Kunkle a free throw.
The women's basketball team takes to the road for their next game at Keuka on Wednesday, Feb. 12 with a 7 p.m. start.
