Women’s Basketball NEAC Preview
With the women's basketball season set to get under way, the North Eastern Athletic Conference released its preview today, Nov. 8.
Wells College women's basketball head coach Tara Ruckh is in her fourth season with the Express.
"Jordan Jacobs and Maritza Scharoun are our key returning players, but also look for newcomers Sonia Rivera and Brittany Kropp to also play key roles. I'm also excited about Lorissa Parks, who is in her second year. She didn't get a ton of time last year, but I'm looking to see her get more time this year and contribute more per game," Ruckh said.
"We lost a pair of key players to graduation last year and overall we have a lot of new faces. We'll do the best that we can after getting somewhat of a late start due to the number of players that also participate in fall sports here at Wells. I hope to see key scoring from a different person each night to help spark our offense as I look to find those players who will step up on a consistent basis as the season unfolds."
The Wells College women's basketball season begins tomorrow at Alfred State with a 1 p.m. tipoff. The entire Wells College women's basketball schedule can be found at: https://www.wells-express.com/sports/wbkb/2019-20/schedule.
