GANSEVOORT, N.Y. – Sophomore Quinn Doubet (Virgil, N.Y.) of the Wells College women's lacrosse team earned North Eastern Athletic Conference Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week honors for her stellar performance this past week, the conference office announced Monday.
Doubet and the Express posted a 1-1 record this past week as Wells posted a tough 14-13 loss on Friday against Lancaster Bible before overwhelming the Eagles from the College of Saint Elizabeth by a 16-0 margin on Saturday. The next day against Saint Elizabeth, she made four tough saves against the Eagles to preserve the shutout for her team.
Across her two-year career, Doubet has made 21 appearances in goal for Wells and has recorded a 13.85 goals-against average and a .385 career save percentage. She has played in 1,238 minutes in her career between the pipes.
Wells, who earned its first victory of the year against Saint Elizabeth, will travel to Hilbert College for a 4 p.m. contest on Thursday, Apr. 14.
