37 Student-Athletes Earn NEAC Scholar-Athlete Recognition
GANSEVOORT, N.Y.
– Thirty-seven student-athletes from Wells College
were named North Eastern Athletic Conference Scholar-Athletes for
the 2012-13 academic year, the conference office announced Monday
afternoon. The Express set a school record with 37 students to the
exclusive list – last year, 20 student-athletes from Wells
were tabbed by the conference.
In order to be selected to the list, a student-athlete must have
achieved a combined grade point average of 3.40 or higher for the
fall and spring semesters and must have been in good standing on
his or her team. Amongst the NEAC sport offerings at Wells, at
least one student-athlete from each team was selected to the list.
In addition, five student-athletes who play multiple sports at
Wells were named to the list.
