Bio
Kylie Hrehor, a native of Whitney Point, N.Y., is
entering her third season as Head Coach of the women's lacrosse
program at Wells College in 2015. Additionally, Hrehor also serves
as Head Coach for Wells College field hockey and is entering her
second season in 2014.
Since joining the women's lacrosse program in 2013, Hrehor has
coached three North Eastern Athletic Conference All-League
selections (Savannah Tucker, Madeline
Bass '13 and Shianne Stokes '17) and has
piloted Wells to nine victories.
In 2013, the Express narrowly missed out on the league playoffs
after falling only a victory short of qualifying - down the
stretch, Wells picked up key NEAC victories against Wilson (W
21-3), Penn St.-Abington (W 20-12) and a 11-10 thriller against the
SUNY Institute of Technology. In 2014, Wells secured decisive
victories against Wilson (W 19-8) and Lancaster Bible College (W
14-4).
In her first season with the field hockey team at Wells, Hrehor
and the Express navigated a difficult non-conference schedule and
secured victories against Morrisville State (W 2-1 OT), Bay Path (W
7-0) and Becker (W 3-2). With a seven goal victory against Bay
Path, Wells scored as many goals for the 10th time since program's
inception in 1976 and, in the process, earned the team's 100th
victory in its 38-year history.
Prior to joining the Express, Hrehor served as the assistant field
hockey coach at Ithaca College for the 2012-13 season. With the
Bombers, Hrehor was directly responsible for the team’s
defense and goaltending while also setting up overnight visits,
recruiting, practice planning and game strategy under long time
Head Coach Tracey Houk. As a squad, the Bombers
ranked third in the Empire 8 Conference in defensive saves and
fourth overall in goaltender saves under Hrehor's supervision.
Before joining the Bombers, Hrehor served as the Head Coach of the
field hockey program at Trine University in Angola, Ind. She was
responsible for managing the team’s budget, all recruiting
responsibilities, the scheduling of varsity contests and all of the
program’s fundraising duties. At Trine, she also served as
the assistant coach for the women’s lacrosse program under
Head Coach Scott Morrison and worked primarily
with the team’s defenseman.
After attending Cornell University as a freshman in college,
Hrehor moved on to SUNY Cortland and played three years of field
hockey for the Red Dragons. A 2010 graduate of SUNY Cortland with a
degree in Physical Education, her teams went a combined 53-8 across
her three seasons.
As a student-athlete, Hrehor secured National Field Hockey Coaches
Association (NFHCA) All-North Atlantic First Team regional honors
in 2007 before earning placement on the Second Team in 2008.
Additionally, Hrehor secured First Team All-SUNYAC honors in 2007
and Second Team All-League merits in 2008. She served as a team
captain in 2009 as a senior.
Hrehor and her husband, Kyle, reside in Aurora, N.Y.
