Wells College softball hit the road once again this Thursday to take on the Penn College Wildcats for a United East conference match-up.
In game one against the Wildcats the Express were held to just one hit. That hit came off the bat of Megan Litzenberger with a bunt single in the top of the second inning. Wells College struck out 10 times against the tough Penn College pitcher. Sara Mattle pitched a complete game one for Wells College with the defense tallying 5 errors behind her. The Wildcats took game one, 11-0.
In game two the Express were held hitless by two different Penn College pitchers in five innings. Seven errors in the field for Wells College helped the Wildcats build and hold their lead. Megan Litzenberger and Sara Mattle pitched for the Express in game two.
Softball will be back on the road tomorrow for two more conference games at Penn State Harrisburg.
