Express Men's lacrosse hosts the trailblazers
The Wells College men's lacrosse team was back in action on the turf Wednesday afternoon where they hosted the Trailblazers of MCLA.
In the last game for the Express, they traveled to Medaille College and came away with a tough road win by a score of 11-8. The Express hoped to continue its success this afternoon.
The Express scored first as Jacob Stine found the back of the net with 6 minutes left in the first. he was followed closely by Nate Soliman who gave wells a 2-0 lead. The Trailblazers would come back though in the last few minutes of the first to tie it up 2-2 heading into the second quarter. Quinten Battle, Jacob Stine, and Dakota Swamp would all score for the Express in the second quarter but it wasn't enough to keep up with MCLA who grabbed a 7-5 lead heading into halftime. In the second half, the Trailblazers brought the pressure to the Express and scored 4 unanswered goals to start the half. Quinten Battle would score for Wells in the third but MCLA built a 12-6 lead with only a quarter left to play. Despite 24 saves from Jeremy Nunez, the Express would fall in this one by a score of 16-10.

The Express will be back in action Saturday when they head to St Mary's for a conference match-up.
