The Wells College men's lacrosse team lost 26-7 at first-place Morrisville State College on Saturday, April 7 at Drake Field in Morrisville, N.Y. The host Mustangs improved to 3-0 in the North Eastern Athletic Conference and Wells is 1-2 in the NEAC.
Back-to-back goals by Aaron Heisey allowed Wells to tie the game 2-2 in the first quarter. Heisey added another goal late in the first quarter.
Morrisville scored 12 times in the second quarter to take control of the game. Brady Hoose scored in the second quarter for Wells. Morrisville led 18-4 at halftime.
Hoose, Heisey and Brian Buttner scored in the second half for the Express. Heisey led Wells with three ground balls. Hoose had two caused turnovers. Goalkeeper Zack Simone had 12 saves.
Heisey and Mingen recently reached 100 points in their Wells careers, just the fifth and sixth players in program history to achieve that milestone.
Wells will be back in action Wednesday, April 11 at home against Hilbert College at 4 p.m.
