The Wells College men's lacrosse team wrapped up its 2018 season with a 20-6 loss at Keuka College on Saturday, April 29. Wells finished its season with a 4-9 overall record and a 2-6 mark in the North Eastern Athletic Conference. Keuka is 9-5 overall and 5-3 in the NEAC. They have qualified for the conference playoffs.
Brady Hoose scored in the first quarter for Wells, a man-up goal assisted by Tanner Mingen.
Keuka scored 11 goals in the second quarter to take control. Aaron Heisey scored just before halftime for the Express. Mingen added a third-quarter goal for the Express.
Hoose scored twice and assisted once in the fourth quarter. He led Wells in scoring with three goals and an assist. Mingen had two goals and an assist, with five ground balls and seven caused turnovers.
Zack Simone had 11 saves.
Keuka held a 37-29 advantage in ground balls and successfully cleared on all 26 of its attempts.
