On Saturday afternoon the Express men's lacrosse team took on Medaille College.
Earlier in the week, the Express had lost at home to the Morrisville Mustangs and they looked to rebound with a win this weekend.
Medaille was able to score first only a minute into the game. The Express came right back though with a rally of their own with goals from Nathan Soliman, Quinten Battle, and Jacob Stine to give the Express a 4-1 lead at the end of 1 quarter. Stine would score again early in the second but then the Mavericks would go on a small run of their own with 4 straight goals to tie up the game heading to halftime with the score tied at 5 goals apiece. Wells College came out of halftime energized and scored 2 goals quickly. One from Dan Stevens and one from Dakota Swamp. Shane Syms would also get in on the scoring this quarter as the Express built a small 9-7 lead heading into the 4th quarter of play. Jeremy Nunez came up with 5 key saves in the fourth quarter to help the Express put away the Medaille Mavericks on the road by a score of 11-8.
