The Wells College men's basketball team found itself in a one-score second-half game, but the Express couldn't overcome the deficit from the first half in its rally attempt against host Penn State-Abington on Saturday, Feb. 15.
The Nittany Lions had a one-score lead in the first before going on a 12-0 run that in the end was the difference in the contest. Wells attempted to rally and got within 10 points at 55-45 in the final four minutes before falling by a 63-47 final.
Ty McBride led the team in scoring with a dozen points with half coming from beyond the arc. Jalen Tribble netted 10 points and Zach D'Arpino had the hot hand with three 3-pointers from four attempts. Jalen Feliz led the team in rebounds with eight boards.
The men's basketball team concludes a three-game road trip on Wednesday, Feb. 19 against SUNY Poly at 5 p.m. before returning home for a pair of games next weekend.
