The Wells College women's soccer team scored three goals in the first 12 minutes of play and cruised to a 4-0 win over College of Saint Elizabeth on Saturday, Oct. 21 in Morristown, N.J.
Madison Beriman scored twice for Wells. She opened the scoring in the seventh minute of play on a long breakaway run and goal. Wells went ahead 2-0 when the Express were awarded a penalty kick. Erin Persons converted for her first goal of the year. Beriman's second came at 11:12 of the first half on an assist from Savannah Olsen.
In the second half, Mackenzie Maloney scored on an assist from Yanna Ososkalo with 3:09 remaining in the game.
Three Wells goalkeepers saw action as Quinn Doubet, Kayleigh Hurley, and Karlie Maloney combined on the shutout. They totaled five saves.
Wells had a 13-6 advantage in shots and 10-2 edge in corner kicks.
The Express has won three straight games for the first time this year. Wells is back in action Sunday, Oct. 22 at Gallaudet University.
