The Wells College women's soccer team traveled to Cazenovia College on Tuesday, Sept. 14 for its second consecutive road contest.
In a close game that saw just a single goal scored in each half, Express goalkeeper Jennifer McCumber had one of her best performances in a Wells uniform.
The senior netminder stopped 19 of 21 shot for a 90-plus save percentage after the Wildcats attempted 32 shots with 16 in each half. McCumber now has 84 saves on the season and is just 16 shy of 100 and needs 21 to hit 300 in her collegiate career.
Leading Wells offensively against Cazenovia was Ericka Arancio with a pair of shots for the Express.
Wells next opens United East play with a pair of weekend games beginning with Gallaudet University on Saturday, Sept. 18 and followed by a contest with St. Mary's on Sunday, Sept. 19.
