For the second-consecutive game, Wells' top player was goalkeeper Jennifer McCumber. The senior netminder had nearly 50 shots attempts thrown her way during the contest.
McCumber held the Mighty Oaks off the board in the first half with 10 saves and then made 16 stops in the second half to finish with 26 on the day.
With the game up for grabs in the second half at 0-0, the Mighty Oaks got the only goals of the game in the latter half.
Combining her save total from the team's season opener, McCumber now has 45 saves on the season.
The Express next host Medaille College on Tuesday, Sept 7 with a 5 p.m. start.
