The Wells College men's lacrosse team was defeated 19-9 by Bryn Athyn College on Wednesday, April 12 at the Wells Turf Field. The game was close throughout the first half before the visiting Lions pulled away for a North Eastern Athletic Conference victory.
The Lions took a 4-1 lead in the first quarter but Wells responded with three straight goals, two from Brady Hoose and one from Alex Milliken. After two more Lions goals, Wells tied the score 6-6 on back-to-back goals by Aaron Heisey.
Bryn Athyn scored two goals in the last minute of the second quarter and outscored Wells 6-1 in the third period to take control.
Tanner Mingen and Brady Hoose each scored three goals. Aaron Heisey scored twice, Alex Milliken had a goal and an assist and Jordan Milliken had two assists.
Wells goalie Nick Hallinan made nine saves. Mingen and Charlie Iwuoha had two caused turnovers each.
Bryn Athyn is 4-7 overall and 2-2 in the NEAC. Wells is 2-6 overall and 1-3 in the conference. Wells returns to action Wednesday, April 19 at home against SUNY Poly.
