The Express Battles the Bobcats

On Sunday afternoon the Wells Men's basketball team hosted the Paul Smiths College Bobcats for a 2pm game. 

This was the first game of the new year for the Express so they were looking to start the year off on a high note. 

The first half brought a tough physical contest with both teams collecting all sorts of fouls as well as baskets. The Bobcats were able to take a slight lead over the Express 37-34 as they went into halftime. 

In the second half, the Express was a bit plagued on defense as they fell behind by as many as 10 points. But thanks to the hot shooting of Don Mays Jr who went 4-4 from 3, the Express were able to claw back into this game and take a small lead with 5 minutes to go. 

Despite strong defensive efforts by the Bobcats, the Express were able to hold on and secure their first victory of the new year by a score of 82-76.

Men's Hoops will be back in action on Tuesday at SUNY Morrisville
