The Wells College men's basketball team started well with a four-point lead, but fell behind and were down double-digits at the half. An inspired opening second half saw the Express get within a basket at 54-52 before Keuka regained its momentum and defeated Wells by a 102-81 score on Wednesday, Jan. 22.
Ty McBride led the Express with 15 points, while Jalen Tribble wasn't far behind with 14. Keian Montero rounded out Wells' double-digit scorers with 11 and added a team-high four assists.
Jalen Feliz and Quentin Battle each added nine points with Feliz hauling in a team-leading seven boards.
The men's basketball team returns from the road to host Cazenovia College on Jan. 25 with a 1 p.m. start.
